Hello, New York!
Last week, I went to New York with my family for my cousin's Bat Mitzvah. At the Bat Mitzvah, there were hats, scarfs, and glasses. Who is this mysterious person?

When we were driving back to Long Island from Albany, we made a pit stop for lunch. There, we got a souvenir coin. The machine turned a regular penny into a pressed picture of a deer to represent wildlife in New York state.

On the plane, we took some pictures of a sunset and pictures of a map.

My favorite part of the flight was seeing all of the clouds out the window.

Pengy also had a good time. Here is a picture of her with headphones. She's a great traveler!

When we got home, Pengy put on some of her glamorous clothes she got from our trip.

Have you ever been to New York? If so, where?
Do you know any facts about New York? (Give credit to were you got it!)
Dear Mallory,
ReplyDeleteThose are funny pictures of Pengy! Sadly I have never been to New York, but I might go their! I am not sure when I am going, but I know its not in a long time. I do not know any facts about New York. I know that the Statue of liberty is their and same as the Empire State Building. Where was your favorite place in New York? Did you see the statue of liberty? Did you see the Empire State Building?
Sincerely,
Parsa
Dear Parsa,
DeleteI'm glad you liked my pictures of Pengy! She worked so hard picking her favorite outfit for the picture! :D
Sadly, I did not see the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State Building on this trip. :C
But, if you would like to see about my cousin going to the Big Apple, copy this URL: http://graysonjcooper.blogspot.com/2013/04/more-fun-in-big-apple.html
When you go to New York, make sure to bring your camera! :D
Sincerely,
Mallory
Dear Mallory,
DeleteI'll take my camera to New York, but the problem is that my camera isn't working. The good part is that my family camera is working so I can use that one! I will probably see the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building! I hope I get to go in the Empire State Building! :D
Do you think that you will go to New York another time to see the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty?
Sincerely,
Parsa
Dear Mallory,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous trip to the opposite side of America! I love New York! In fact, I was there back in October for the Google Teacher Academy. While in NYC, I was lucky enough to see the Statue of Liberty up close! Remember how we took my photos and made a nonfiction post with them? Here is a post to refresh your memory:
The Statue of Liberty post from Mrs. Yollis' 2/3 class
It sounds like you had a fun time at the Bat Mitzvah! What was the theme?
Thank you for the wonderful souvenir coin! I have an entire collection of those flattened pennies!
Your proud teacher,
Mrs. Y♥llis
Dear Mallory,
ReplyDeleteI love how you added photos from your trip. Your pictures from the airplane reminded me of my plane ride to Hawaii. Being over the clouds is definitely different from being under them. Your coin photo reminds me of the ones that we can get at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo. They have over 85 penguins!
I have never been to New York. The closest I have been is Washington D.C. Perhaps some day I will make it further north.
Did everyone at your cousin's Bat Mitzvah get to wear such glamorous accessories? It looked like a blast.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Crain

Hi Mallory,
ReplyDeleteYour trip sounds like a lot of fun. I enjoyed NYC many years ago and have wonderful memories. Your post makes me think I should schedule it again soon.
When you looked at clouds out your window, did you see any interesting forms? Here is a great link for unusual cloud shapes: http://www.pals.iastate.edu/carlson/main.html.

Dear Mallory,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic post about your adventure in New York. Did you visit some famous sites such as the statue of liberty? I have been to New York on a couple of occasions, but they have always been for very short trips related to my work. I would definitely like to take a longer trip to the east coast and see some of the historical sites.
I look forward to reading more posts from you. Keep up the good writing.
Best,
Victoria
Hi Mallory,
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite places on the planet is New York!
Besides being born there,I love the people, the museums, the food, the theaters, and the plethora of sights to visit.
I am so glad you were able to visit New York and share such amazing photos from your plane ride.
My husband and I are looking into visiting New York for our Thanksgiving break this year. There is a Cornell hockey game that my husband would like to attend.
You are fabulous blogger!
