It's Pengy again. In Mallory's first post about me on her blog, she asked everyone what they thought my favorite movie was. Most people guessed it right. My favorite movie is "Happy Feet." I guess it just reminds me of home.
Anyway, for the past couple of days, I've been celebrating Purim with Mallory and her family. Purim is like a Jewish version of Halloween. During Purim, just like Halloween, everyone dresses up in costume. I decided to dress up as a Mixed-Up Princess. I went through Mallory's sister's dress up box and this is what I found.

Mallory told me that in Mrs. Yollis' class they just started learning about shapes and geometry. I think that these Hamantashen cookies look like a specific kind of triangle.
What kind of triangles are the Hamantashen cookies in this picture?
Have you ever tasted Hamantashen cookies? If yes, what's your favorite kind?
What would you want to dress up like for Purim?
Dear Mallory,
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting our class blog. In Michigan Halloween is very fun. Just like you we dress up in costumes. Except we go and get candy from houses. Do you? I have not had a Hamantashen cookie before but I want to. My favorite cookie is the no-bake cookies.
Sincerely,
Alyson

@ Mallory and Pengy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific time you had dressing up for Purim! You always have such a good attitude, Pengy!
Mallory, I love the photo of you Hamantashen cookies. I'm not sure I've ever had those exact cookies, but I've had similar ones. I think I would like the raspberry filling, just like you.
If I was dressing up for Purim I would be a cowgirl. I could wear my cowboy hat and my badge. What did you dress up as?
Your proud teacher,
Mrs. Y♥llis
Happy belated Purim!
ReplyDeleteI love Hamantashen cookies especially the ones with poppy seeds and raspberry filling. Did you bake the cookies yourself? Who did you dress up for Purim?
Thank you for writing another great post. I look forward to reading more from you.
Best,
Victoria
@ Victoria,
DeleteThank you for commenting!
No, I did not bake these ones myself, but I did make some later with my grandma and my aunt.
The hamantashens I've tried are poppy seed, raspberry, chocolate chip, almond, date, fig, apricot, and pineapple.
Which one of these have you tried?
You asked me if I dressed up like anyone for Purim. Sadly, I did not dress up this year. :C
Did you dress up for Purim?
Do you have a blog? If so, what is your URL?
Sincerely,
Mallory
